Day 1: Flight to Japan
Recommended flight to Tokyo. All major airlines fly there. Narita is the preferred arrival airport, but Haneda is ok.
Day 2: Arrive in Tokyo, Japan
Arrive in Tokyo, Japan. Overnight in hotel near the airport (Narita) or in Tokyo.
Day 3: (trip starts here): Tokyo to Snow Monkeys
After breakfast (in Tokio/Narita), transportation by bus to the Monkey Park (Nagano/Jigokudani). After a short stop at our hotel, we will head to the Monkey Park for an afternoon photo session with the Snow Monkeys. (L,D)
Day 4: Snow Monkeys
Full day photo session with the Snow Monkeys. (BD)
Day 5: Snow Monkeys
Full day photo session with the Snow Monkeys. (BD)
Day 6: Snow Monkeys to Hokkaido
After a short photo session with the Snow Monkey’s in the morning, we will head to the airport for our flight to Kushiro. (BLD)
Day 7: Cranes
Photography at Tsurui Mura Crane Reserve. (BLD)
Day 8: Cranes

Day 9: Cranes – Swans – Sea Eagles
Drive up to Shiretoko for Stellar Eagles. Along the way, we will stop at the river and photograph the Whooper Swan. (BLD)
Day 10: Flight to Kyoto/Tokyo
Photograph temples in Kyoto. (BLD)
Day 11: Kyoto
We will explore more of the many temples in Kyoto. (BD)
Day 12: Kyoto-Tokyo-Home
Leave for home, via Tokyo. (B)
